Quality Assurance Technician (Manufacturing)Available Shifts- Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- Swing Shift: 3:00PM - 11:30PM
- Graveyard Shift: 12:00PM - 8:30AM
- Pay: $25–$28/hour depending on experience
Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Quality Assurance Technician to support high-quality production of aerospace-related hardware. This role combines hands-on technical inspection work with strong communication and documentation skills. You will play a critical role in ensuring products meet mechanical, cosmetic, and functional quality standards.
Note: This is a fully on-site role. Remote work is not available.
Key Responsibilities- Perform inspections using mechanical drawings, work instructions, and IPC specifications
- Carefully follow documented procedures and quality standards
- Perform incoming (IQC) and in-process inspections of mechanical components and subassemblies
- Inspect assemblies for proper fit, finish, coatings, and functionality
- Measure components using precision tools such as calipers and rulers
- Verify that all parts, fasteners, and coatings meet required specifications
- Identify defects, inconsistencies, or abnormalities and report issues immediately
- Document non-conformances and manage material flow through MRB
- Create, maintain, and support rework instructions
- Support dashboards and quality reporting presentations
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues
- Train and educate assembly operators on product quality standards
- Provide measurement and inspection data to help identify supplier, design, or manufacturing issues
Inspection Tools & Methods- Calipers (precision dimensional measurement)
- Rulers and basic measurement tools
- Gauges, scales, and other inspection equipment (as applicable)
- Visual and cosmetic inspection techniques
Required Skills- Quality assurance and inspection experience
- Proficiency with measurement tools
- Strong observational and documentation skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions precisely
- Clear and professional communication skills
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with consumer electronics or aerospace manufacturing
- Knowledge of circuit boards, PBCAs, drones, or electromechanical assemblies
- Experience with:
- MRB (Material Review Board)
- IQC (Incoming Quality Control)
- Cosmetic inspection
- Familiarity with spreadsheets and Google Slides
- Experience using data or quality tools (e.g., Minitab)
- Ability to communicate effectively across teams and disciplines

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hayward, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
