The Position:
We are looking for a motivated and collaborative Software Engineer to join the Tools and Automation Team working on the Virtual Rack platform - an internal development tool aligned with hardware systems and customer-facing workflows.
This role is primarily backend-focused and involves building scalable platform services, automation frameworks, and system integrations rather than simple CRUD applications. You will work closely with infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and hardware-interfacing tooling in a hands-on engineering environment.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
Design, build and maintain backend services using GoLang or Python
Develop automation workflows and system-level tooling
Enhance and optimize existing software frameworks for performance and reliability
Design and implement REST APIs and service integrations
Develop React/Angular components for internal tools where required
Write and maintain shell scripts on Linux environments
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing workflows
Containerize applications using Docker and deploy on Kubernetes
Troubleshoot complex production and system-level issues
Maintain unit tests and improve code coverage
Document technical designs and requirements in Jira and Confluence
Collaborate in Agile/Scrum development cycle
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
4+ years of software development experience
Strong hands-on experience in GoLang or Python
Advanced Linux usage and debugging
Strong shell scripting skills
Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Production experience with Docker and containerized deployments
Working knowledge of JavaScript (tooling/integration use cases)
Experience with React or Angular
Experience with SQL and data modeling
Strong troubleshooting and system-level debugging skills
Comfortable working close to infrastructure, tooling and hardware-aligned systems
Ability to independently own backend components end-to-end
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Kubernetes and AWS experience
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)
