We are seeking a Sr. Buyer to lead and execute sourcing and procurement activities for a fluid connectors manufacturing plant in Toluca, Edo. de México. This role is responsible for supplier strategy, cost optimization, contract negotiation, supply continuity, and cross-functional coordination to support production, quality, and new product launches.

Responsibilities
- Your main responsibilities :
- Manage end-to-end purchasing for direct and indirect materials/services to support production and projects.
- Execute sourcing activities: RFQ/RFP, bid analysis, supplier selection, and award recommendations.
- Lead negotiations (pricing, lead time, payment terms, Incoterms, MOQs) and ensure best total cost.
- Create/maintain purchase orders and agreements in JDE, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and manage suppliers: performance reviews, capacity alignment, and continuous improvement.
- Support new product introductions (NPI)ew projects: sourcing strategy, timelines, and PPAP/qualification coordination as applicable.
- Monitor supply risk and ensure continuity (shortages, expedites, constraints, dual sourcing).
- Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Finance to meet delivery and cost targets.
- Ensure purchasing compliance (policies, approvals, contracts, audit readiness, ethics).
- Track and report KPIs (savings, OTIF, inventory impact, supplier performance) and drive action plans.
Qualifications
We are looking for a talent with
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as Buyer/Sr. Buyer in a manufacturing plant environment.
- Proven experience with direct and indirect procurement and contract negotiation.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing processes, supplier management, and cost breakdown analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP JDE and MS Office (advanced Excel preferred).
- Solid understanding of manufacturing materials/supply chains (metal/rubber/components/MRO/services).
- Strong analytical and planning skills; able to manage multiple priorities and projects.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management across functions.
- High integrity; knowledge of procurement compliance and ethical standards.
- English level intermediate or higher preferred (supplier and corporate communication).
