Job Title: GSE MechanicJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled GSE Mechanic with a minimum of 5 years of experience in performing mechanical testing and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should have a background in diesel mechanics, with a mix of automotive and diesel experience, and the ability to read schematics. The candidate must own a rolling tool box with basic tools, as tool bags are not accepted.
Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on GSE equipment such as baggage carts and deicing equipment.
- Conduct light and heavy repairs on GSE equipment.
- Diagnose and repair engine mechanical issues (Diesel, gas, and LP).
- Troubleshoot A/C and D/C electrical systems and read electrical schematics.
- Work with Generators 400 Hz and 28 volt systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems and read hydraulic flow schematics.
- Utilize computer software to diagnose Powertrain Management Systems.
- Repair 80 & 48 volt DC systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair Airstart systems.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance equipment knowledge.
- Maintain required productivity levels and complete vehicle repair orders timely.
Essential Skills- 5+ years of experience in mechanical testing and troubleshooting.
- Diesel experience, preferably a mix of Automotive/Diesel.
- Ability to read schematics.
- Proficiency in electrical testing and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of gas and diesel engines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Previous GSE experience is preferred.
- Valid drivers license.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Vocational training certificate or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Capability to attain an Airport-issued ID badge, which includes an extensive background check.

Work EnvironmentWork in a covered hangar environment equipped with heating for winter and large fans for summer cooling. Join a team of 20 mechanics in Boston, working in shifts of seven. Larger projects, such as full vehicle overhauls, are conducted at an off-site location with similar environmental conditions. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.50 - $33.50/hr.
