Position Summary
The Grind Machinist performs grinding operations on manual, CNC, and automated equipment to produce parts that meet customer and engineering specifications. Depending on experience level, this role may involve basic operation, intermediate setups, or advanced grinding techniques such as wheel dressing and complex part geometries. Training and supervision will be provided as needed based on skill level.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Work safely in accordance with established safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE and safe equipment operation.
Identify parts using the shop traveler and verify that prior operations have been completed before starting work.
Review shop travelers, blueprints, and work instructions to understand part requirements, tolerances, and process sequence, as applicable to skill level.
Set up and operate grinding machines, including manual, CNC, or auto feeding equipment, based on experience and training.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections during the grinding process to ensure parts meet specifications.
Follow standard operating procedures to start, operate, and shut down equipment while producing quality parts.
Coordinate with supervisors or leads for guidance, troubleshooting, and job handoffs as needed.
Receive and release incoming and outgoing jobs in accordance with established procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Experience and Skill Level
This position is open to candidates with varying levels of experience, from entry level to advanced Grind Machinists. Responsibilities, training, and progression will be aligned to demonstrated skills and experience.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $25.00 to $35.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 0 hours paid time off every year.
