Facilities TechnicianJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Technician to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of equipment around our hangar. This role requires basic mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using hand tools, as well as cleaning supplies. The Facilities Technician will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in woodworking rooms, hangar workshops, classrooms, and paint rooms, along with running errands for gas, repair materials, and cleaning supplies. This position may also involve unloading equipment from aircraft or building supports for aircraft assemblies.
Responsibilities
- Complete a daily checklist for the aircraft hangar, preparing equipment for use, sweeping, and removing trash.
- Support current missions and projects for the department, including tasks related to aircraft operations and general facility upkeep.
- Build and store crates, replace lights, assist with aircraft ballast removal, repair doors and windows, and retrieve tools for aircraft maintenance activities.
- Engage in painting tasks and other maintenance work in office areas, including assembling office furniture.
- Check bathrooms, clean lunchrooms, and move vehicles in the hangar as needed.
Essential Skills- Proficiency with basic hand tools and repair techniques.
- Experience reading a tape measure.
- Comfortable working in hangar and outdoor environments under variable conditions.
- Ability to climb ladders and operate scissor lifts.
- Experience with hooking up trailers, using tiedowns, and basic carpentry equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Solid woodworking or carpentry experience is highly preferred for one of the positions.

Work Environment
Work in a brand new aircraft hangar and original hangar with attached office areas. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7am - 3pm, with occasional work in outside environments.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
