PDS Tech Commercial is hiring a highly qualified Assembly & Test Technician at a leading aerospace facility in Rocky Mount, NC. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with precision tools and contribute to the production of advanced electromechanical systems for aircraft and helicopters.
About the Role
As an Assembly & Test Technician, you’ll perform standard assembly and testing procedures on hydro-mechanical fuel controls and related aerospace components. You’ll work with minimal supervision, using technical documentation and precision instruments to ensure product quality and compliance.
What You’ll Do
Assemble and test aerospace components using hand and power tools
Use precision measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators) for inspections
Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and electronic work instructions
Perform visual inspections and report non-conformities
Maintain accurate documentation and follow quality procedures
Participate in daily Tier meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain work areas according to 5S and Visual Management standards
Support weekend overtime as needed
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma (preferred)
3–6 years of manufacturing experience in aerospace, automotive, machining, electrical, plumbing, or construction
Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
Basic computer skills (MS Office, internet navigation)
Ability to lift 30+ lbs. and perform repetitive tasks
Must be local to Rocky Mount, NC (within ~50 miles)
Must pass a vision test within the first week of assignment
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates degree or technical certification
Six Sigma training or certification
NC WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate (Silver or Gold)
Experience in a team-based, continuous improvement environment
Knowledge of 5S principles and lean manufacturing

Pay Rate: $22.00/hr
Shift: First Shift 5x8 Monday–Friday Weekend OT as needed

Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
