Qatar Airways are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Flight Operations - Pre-ops & Crew Control team as a Senior Pre-Ops & Crew Control Officer to be based in Doha, Qatar.
As a Senior Pre-Ops & Crew Control Officer, you will lead Crew Pre-Ops and Crew Control operations within the IOC, supporting both daily and irregular operations. You will manage crew schedules during disruptions, ensuring rosters remain legal, compliant, and cost-effective. You will be the first point of contact for IOC stakeholders during operational events and be responsible for ensuring end-to-end operational readiness across Cabin and Flight Crew teams.
Specific responsibilities for the role include:
- Act as first point of escalation for IOC stakeholders during disruptions and delays.
- Proactively monitor crew availability, rest, qualifications, and duty hours to anticipate and avoid crew shortages.
- Manage contingency planning and monitor roster disruptions for timely recovery actions.
- Ensure correct submission of APIS / APP through governmental portals and compliance with immigration requirements.
- Coordinate with outstations for crew wake-up or pick-up adjustments when roster deviations occur.
- Monitor and ensure legal coverage for all Cabin and Flight Crew rosters.
- Utilize TOPS and internal tracking systems to monitor compliance, raise alerts, and resolve issues.
- Support post-flight disruption analysis and collaborate with Scheduling to optimize future planning.
- Finalize crew routing and publish updates in the event of aircraft or schedule changes.
- Supervise roster notifications and ensure clear communication with crew via available channels.
- Actively contribute to system testing, new process implementation, and special projects.
- Handle crew feedback, complaints, and reporting, maintaining a high-performance operational culture.
