Air Canada seeks a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to join the ERP Product team. This position will oversee both the strategy and execution of new and improved features for the SAP Group Reporting, SAP Interface (AIF) – Account Payables , Order to Cash, SAP S/4 Assets, SAP S/4 Treasury. This individual must have experience creating innovative, high-performance ERP solutions, and be customer-centric, data driven, and passionate about the travel industry. Define, prioritize, and manage the product roadmap for flight shopping and ancillary productsSupport leadership to ensure the product roadmap aligns to strategic digital program objectivesLead end-to-end implementation and support of SAP FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling) modules.Configure and support:General Ledger (GL)Accounts Payable (AP)Accounts Receivable (AR)Asset Accounting (AA)Bank AccountingCost Center AccountingProfit Center AccountingProduct Costing and Internal Orders
Collaborate with Solution Managers, System Architects, and Digital Platform teams to ensure functional capabilities and requirements are metAnalyze business requirements and design SAP financial solutions.Prepare functional specifications for technical developments.Strong expertise in SAP FI and CO modules.Deep knowledge of financial processes and accounting principles.Experience with SAP configuration and integration.Analyze spanet trends, customer feedback, and analytics data to drive product evolutionDirectly and/or indirectly lead and mentor a team of Product OwnersBe comfortable leading through influence to drive outcomes in a cross-functional teamCommunicate effectively with stakeholders and provide clear direction to technical and non-technical audiencesActively participate in meetings across the organization to support the intake of new requirements and provide initial gap assessments as requiredPrepare presentations to communicate the product vision, roadmap, new features, and data with business stakeholdersUnderstand and stay current on regulatory, and technology trends to understand their potential impact and apply these learnings within Air Canada Remain accountable for requirements documentation to enable product and delivery teams.Facilitate the implementation and support of SAP Financials (focus on FICO Controlling – Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, Project System, Results Analysis, Unsettled Costs, Month End Close, Overhead assessment and settlement.)Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate and document customer requirementsFacilitate workshops to collect business requirements Map client business requirements, processes and objectives; develops necessary product modifications to satisfy clients needs.Design, customize, configure and testing of FI/CO modules. Identify gaps, issues and work around solutions.Act as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyse, and solve software problems.Document functional designs, test cases and results.Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancementsProvide consulting services on both new implementations and existing support projectsAct as a liaison between the business functions and the technical team.Provide ad-hoc training and user support as requiredWork self-directed and independently; may act as subject matter mentor to more junior members
QualificationsBachelor’s degree with at least 5+ years of Business Analyst, Product Owner, and/or Product Manager experience focused on delivering complex SAP - FiCo products (5+ years demonstrable experience in lieu of a degree)CPA certification is a plusBachelor’s in Finance is a plus.Familiarity with designing or implementing SAP-FiCo Modules to enable complex business logicAbility to provide clear direction and effective communication both in technical and non-technical termsUnderstanding of SAP Clean Core principles, design guidelines and their application to Financial ProcessesHave directly or indirectly led a team of Product Owners, Business Analysts, or Product DesignersAn ability to energize people in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentInnovative and creative, with the ability to identify and develop business opportunitiesExcellent management, organization, and communication skillsExperience leading or participating in product discovery sessionsDemonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environmentFamiliarity working in an agile methodology (e.g., SCRUM, SAFe, etc.), with scaled agile (SAFe) as a plus Airline or Travel Industry experience a plus, but not required
