We have an exciting opportunity for an Quality Inspector to join our fast-paced and innovative team. In this critical role, you will support our sustaining business for one of Collins’ key value streams: Advanced Lavatories and Cabin Integrations (ALCI). As a Quality Inspector, you will be at the heart of our quality operations, ensuring that production and quality procedures are meticulously followed to ensure 100% quality for Collins’ customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical and Cosmetic inspection
• Provide Quality control activities including new product introduction
• Provide inspection services for incoming goods, returns and assembly
• Document non-conformances and report major quality issues to leadership
• First Article inspection

Skills and Experience:

• It is essential that the successful candidate have solid inspection experience gained in a manufacturing environment.
• Technically competent, able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Independence & Teamwork: Ability to work autonomously as well as collaborate effectively with a team.
• Attention to Detail: Capable of maintaining precision in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
• Strong Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication and numerical skills are essential.
• Familiarity with Quality disciplines including 8D reporting, 5 Whys and the completion of corrective action reports. (also essential)

PLEASE NOTE:
Candidates will be required to complete a vision test for this role. Safety glasses are required.

Education/Experience:

• HS Diploma/GED +2 years relevant experience OR in lieu of degree 4+ years of RELEVANT experience
• Citizenship: US Citizen or US Person (Green Card Holder)

Overtime:

• Occassionally there is opportunity for more hours, not very often. Voluntary OT on Saturday if it comes up.

Interview preference:

• Manager will conduct on site interviews with his team lead between 9am - 1pm.
