After completion of initial training relocation to Miramar, CA is required to support customer on site.

Role OverviewAs a Field Service Representative, you will provide technical direction and assistance to customers in the operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of GE Aerospace Composite Propeller Systems. This on-site role involves hands-on repair and maintenance, as well as collaboration with customers to ensure optimal performance and reliability of GE products. Your work will be critical to maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting GE Aerospace’s mission to deliver world-class solutions.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide general technical direction and assistance to the customer in the operation, maintenance, repair, logistic support, and installation of GE products.
  • Provide on-site interpretation of data and technical instruction.
  • Provide Project Engineering, Program Management and Field Service management with complete and prompt information regarding status of programs, customer problems, failures, trends, and climate.
  • Provide communication to Product Support and Field Service regarding all program activities and problems through regular, timely reports
  • Be responsible for reports, including; obtaining, interpreting, and communicating significant market intelligence and sales opportunities for both assigned programs and support
  • Assist customer in scheduling maintenance and workload
  • Assist in ensuring parts meet established schedules
  • Make recommendations on findings
  • Review effectiveness of maintenance actions in order to identify training needs
  • Anticipate requirements beyond those that immediately affect the program and assist in implementing actions to satisfy those requirements
  • Perform intermediate and depot level maintenance
  • Perform hands-on repair and maintenance tasks, including disassembly, inspection, and assembly of the Composite Propeller System and its related components.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution.
  • Ability to travel up to 25 worldwide annually
  • Able to lift minimum of 65 Lbs.
  • At least 2 years of experience performing extensive repairs, conversions, and maintenance work on engines and/or propellers.
  • Must be able to pass a non-DOT drug test and a background check
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen as per Contract

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university, OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of aviation experience in a field service or maintenance role, OR an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point), including data manipulation
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong team player with experience integrating across various organizations
  • Self-motivated individual with proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a high stress situation
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
