The role involves performing modifications and heavy maintenance on various aircraft types, including Dash8, King Airs, Gulfstream (G4), and Boeing 737. The position requires expertise in sheet metal work and aircraft modification.

Responsibilities

• Shoot and buck rivets to specifications.
• Recognize differences in types of metals, including structural strength and thickness.
• Perform sheet metal bends according to guidelines and specifications dictated by normal aviation practices.
• Remove existing rivets from aircraft structures.
• Build components for aircraft applications using a variety of sheet metal materials.
• Perform repairs to aircraft and determine which repairs can or cannot be made.
• Read blueprints to ensure build and modification completion, following both written and verbal instructions.

• Minimum of 4 years of aviation experience.
• Proficiency in sheet metal work, aircraft modification, and riveting.
• Experience in installation, fabrication, repair, depot maintenance, modifications, and heavy maintenance.

• FAA Airframe license highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of sheet metal experience on any aircraft.
• Preferred experience on Dash8, King Airs, Gulfstream, or Boeing aircraft.
• Possession of all tools on the minimum tool list, with tools etched with a unique identifier and shadowed toolbox.

Work Environment

The work environment is a hangar setting within a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility. Employees will operate off a production schedule and complete designated tasks within specified timeframes. The schedule is structured as 4x10-hour shifts, with options to work Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday, from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm, including a one-hour lunch break from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00/hr.
