Job Description

The A&P Floor Inspector is responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and compliance of all aircraft maintenance operations on the shop floor. This role involves inspecting airframes, powerplants, and other aircraft components, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and the companys quality assurance procedures. The Inspector will work closely with maintenance personnel, identify any discrepancies, and assist in maintaining the overall health and operational readiness of the fleet.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections of airframes, powerplants, components, and other aircraft parts during and after maintenance activities.
• Be billable in Corridor: Participate in maintenance on stated aircraft and perform Required Inspection Item RII tasks.
• Verify compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures related to aircraft maintenance and safety.
• Document inspection results and discrepancies in maintenance logs and reports, ensuring accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Identify mechanical, structural, and electrical issues with aircraft and report discrepancies to the maintenance team or supervisor.
• Observe and verify that technicians follow correct maintenance procedures and perform work to required standards.
• Ensure that all safety protocols and guidelines are followed to maintain a safe working environment on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members, including A&P mechanics, engineers, and supervisors, to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues.
• Follow up on previously identified discrepancies to ensure proper rectification and full resolution of issues.
• Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring all maintenance activities comply with company policies and FAA regulations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics and technicians, helping them understand and implement best practices in maintenance and inspection.

• A&P mechanic expertise
• Knowledge of Gulfstream, Hawker, Embraer, Bombardier aircraft
• Proficiency with hand tools
• Understanding of FAA manuals
• Experience in aircraft maintenance repair
• Quality assurance skills

• A&P License
• 5+ years of inspector experience on Bombardier Lear/Global/Challenger or CRJ/Embraer corporate or ERJ/Gulfstreams
• Must have own tools with tool box (does not have to be etched/inventoried/shadowed/etched)

Work Environment

This position is based at a 145 repair station with a flexible schedule to support both 1st and 2nd shifts. Options include: First shift - M-F Day shift: 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm, M-R shift or Tues-Sat shift: 6am-6pm; Second shift - 4pm-4am or 6pm-6am Monday-Thursday or Thursday-Saturday.

The pay range for this position is $98000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
