Job Title: Ground Support Equipment (GSE) MechanicJob Description
We are seeking a skilled Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic with a minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical testing and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to read schematics and perform electrical testing and troubleshooting. A personal set of basic tools is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance repairs on GSE such as baggage carts and deicing equipment.
- Conduct light and heavy repairs on GSE equipment.
- Diagnose and repair engine mechanical issues for diesel, gas, and LP engines.
- Troubleshoot A/C and D/C electrical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Have knowledge of 400 Hz generators and 28 volt systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, including reading hydraulic flow schematics.
- Utilize computer software to diagnose Powertrain Management Systems.
- Repair 80 and 48 volt DC systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair Airstart systems.
- Engage in ongoing training to enhance knowledge of equipment.
- Maintain required productivity levels and complete vehicle repair orders accurately and timely.
Essential Skills- 2+ years of experience in automotive, diesel, or electrical work.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong knowledge of gas and diesel engines.
- Competency in reading schematics and using diagnostic software.
- Valid drivers license.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Vocational training certificate or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Previous experience with GSE is preferred.
- Ability to attain an Airport issued ID badge, which includes an extensive check.
- Must have tooling to meet the minimum tool list.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
