We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Clerk to ensure the accurate and efficient handling of all incoming and outgoing shipments. The role involves verifying shipment details, preparing and labeling packages, and maintaining an organized inventory of shipping materials.

Responsibilities

• Compare identifying information and counts, weights, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Determine the method of shipment.
• Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or stencil identifying shipping information on cartons.
• Assemble wooden or cardboard containers or select preassembled containers.
• Nail covers on wooden crates and bind containers with metal tape; stamp, stencil, or glue identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers; post weights and shipping charges, and affix postage.
• Examine outgoing shipments to ensure they meet requirements.
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
• Operate fork truck, tier lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.

• Experience in inventory control and logistics.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes using bills of lading, invoices, and orders.
• Proficiency in Epicor software, Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet, and Microsoft Word Processing software.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Must be a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 to meet Export Control compliance requirements.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Capability to handle changes and work independently while meeting commitments.
• Experience with Epicor software is advantageous.

Work Environment

Work in a large, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Teams operate in pairs within working cells. Dress code is business casual. Training will be on the 1st shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm for 2 weeks up to a month. The schedule is Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime and work on Saturdays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
