Key Responsibilities:
AOG Controller of AOG Operations provide 24/7 logistical operations representing Supply Chain at the Arlington Heights Network Operations Center to ensure timely processing of critical material and tooling requests. Controllers execute on out-of-service and scheduled workload assignments requiring parts and tools in support of the Maintenance customer. They ensure a high degree of performance and interdepartmental cooperation while working in a high stress environment with real time constraints.
- Coordinate the end-to-end logistics of parts and tools for out-of-service and scheduled workload activities
- Determines the method of transportation that provides the most value to United for out of service and scheduled workload activities
- Work closely with the Maintenance Control to validate part and tool requirements and determine the best method of acquiring parts using company inventories or market availability
- Coordinate with Toolrooms and Warehouse Store personnel to ensure proper tools are shipped to support grounded aircraft and scheduled workload activities. Ensure the return of tools to toolroom owner
- Purchase aircraft parts or tooling at the best over value to the company to support grounded aircraft and scheduled workload activities
- Initiate purchase orders and ensure receipt, payment, and finalization
- Initiate borrows of aircraft parts or tools from other airlines for faster aircraft recovery and operational reliabilities
- Support other airlines through accommodation sales and loans if inventory allows
- Conduct self-audits, ensuring compliance with documented policies and procedures
- Utilize and understand various corporate and government regulated manuals including the General maintenance Manual (GMM) and Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC)
QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):- Associate or technical degree or related experience in Supply Chain, Logistics Control, Business or Operations
- Minimum 1 year of job experience in airline, logistics or related field or related leadership experience
- Knowledgeable in Logistics Control and Airline Operations
- Beginner in Microsoft Office Application (Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):Bachelors degree or related expe
rience in Supply Chain, Logistics Control, Business, Operations or Analytics
- 2 years of experience in airline, logistics, related fields experience
- Proficient in database query language (SQL, Foundry/Palantir etc.)
The base pay range for this role is $64,885.00 to $84,514.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
