The Prime Air Shared Services team within Prime Air is responsible for the tools that the organization uses to achieve this goal. Our solutions include PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), collaboration platforms and vehicle maintenance, and the data infrastructure for the Prime Air organization. We’re a diverse group that combines product managers, software developers, and engineers to deliver across a wide range of technical challenges.

We are currently looking for a Systems Engineer to help us optimize and grow our infrastructure. Our services operate at scale and support workloads critical to safety, so a passion and discipline around operational excellence is key. In this role you will have the opportunity to:

Drive root cause analyses
Scale our services: Lead the planning, forecasting, and technical approaches to operating at peak scale
Drive projects and report on their progress
Report on the health of our services at an executive level

This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent work experience
5+ years of relevant hands-on systems engineering and administrative experience in networking and cloud-based administration
Knowledge and high proficiency in managing Linux and Windows servers
Basic Python or PowerShell scripting competency
Experience supporting on-premise third party solutions (monitoring, troubleshooting, scaling)Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
7+ years of experience in systems engineering and technical administration
Hands-on knowledge of AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53 & S3)
Strong Python or PowerShell scripting competency

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic spanets. The base pay for this position ranges from $94,000/year in our lowest geographic spanet up to $207,900/year in our highest geographic spanet. Pay is based on a number of factors including spanet location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
