Software Development Engineer 2 (Automation) – PAC OS team
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks to improve software quality and streamline testing processes. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing strategies, build automation scripts, execute and analyse test results, and enhance existing frameworks for better efficiency and coverage. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting automation issues, ensuring reliability of test outcomes, and staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in automation testing
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing requirements and develop automation strategies.
- Design and implement automated test scripts to validate software quality and identify bugs.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks using industry-standard tools and technologies.
- Execute and analyse automated test results to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Enhance and optimize existing automation frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation script issues to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in automation testing to enhance the testing processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 4 to 7 years of experience in software automation who can write scripts on Pytest And report generation tools like Grafana
- Proficiency in any two such as Python, Selenium, or Shell.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with automation scripts.
- Well-versed with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD pipeline.
- Excellent in Debugging, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in a collaborative team
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality automation solutions & API interfacing with Postman Automation API platform.
- Comfortable working on Linux platform and basics of SQL.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts.
