Job Title: Product Sr Engineer IV

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday
Duties: Analyze, research, design, and test component parts, processes, or systems to develop new and/or improve core products. Design products or systems of diverse/difficult scope and complexity using engineering principles based on assigned engineering domain (e.g. mechanical; electrical; chemical, etc.). Develop and recommend solutions to a variety of complex engineering requirements to ensure that design objectives are met, including required program scope, cost, and schedule constraints. Apply scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure the outcome and consequence of design alternatives. Oversee and monitors product validation and verification procedures to achieve customer and product specifications. Complete technical project elements (e.g. preparation of product or system layout; defining system architecture; creating software development plans; etc.) as assigned. Provide technical information for review with product engineering teams applying consistent engineering practices, standards, and documentation methods (e.g. structured design process; customer design reviews). Review product specifications and/or modifications to ensure clarity, completeness, form, fit, function, and conformity to standards and procedures. Position requires 10 domestic travel.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a science technical discipline and ten (10) years of experience as a Senior Developer, Technical Lead, or related occupation where experience was gained. Also requires experience in the following:
Engineering domain principles, concepts, product standards, and techniques, industry practices, regulations, and policies;
Engineering design and analysis tools such as PyCharm, Beyond Compare, Anaconda, Microchip Studio, Visual Studio Code, Lattice Radiant, PuTTY, and Notepad ++;
Power electronics, control systems, and electrical hardware / software integration;
Software certification per DO-178 and general aerospace standards such as DO-311A and ARP-4754; and
Working with requirements development, software project planning, and software test planning and execution.
