How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) This position is responsible for supporting product launches in the Onboard Service (OBS) department. As part of the Material & Logistics (M&L) team, this role will oversee the strategy regarding forecasting, purchasing, warehousing and distributing the many products used to serve customers on board. The role focuses on project management when a product is introduced or replaced, as well as assistance with data analysis surrounding order quantities, product consumption, and seasonality.Overview & Key Responsibilities:Work with OBS Product Team (and other DL teams as needed) to understand upcoming changes to onboard products and establish a launch strategy for the Logistics Team Launch strategy includes: establishing timeline for production, calculating volumes needed to launch, coordinating with planning team for placing orders, tracking inventory, tracking orders to the warehouse, etcPartner across the material logistics teams to ensure timelines are met by the various teams involved in the launch and that all systems are alignedSupport analytical projects related to launches as needed, providing supply chain & product teams with insightful data
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Minimum of three years of experience with project management and analytical projectsMust have a solid understanding of operational conceptsMust possess strong technical, project management, mathematical, organization, decision-making and administrative skillsRequires the ability to analyze and convert large amounts of data into meaningful, useful results, while recognizing and highlighting key issues that merit further discussion with leadershipThe individual must have the ability to quickly learn potentially unfamiliar topics, manage priorities to ensure project deadlines are met, and establish and maintain relationships with peers within Delta and vendorsRequires the ability to be detailed oriented and execution focusedBe capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously. Must able to self-prioritize work in dynamic environment with minimal supervision.Strong oral and written communication skills requiredMust be proficient in use of MS Office products (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)Must perform with a high level of accuracyConsistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
