About the role
As a Senior Treasury Analyst, you will lead and co-ordinate treasury functions and services within the QR Group through optimal allocation of resources, delivery of information and advice to management to support the operational, risk management and financing activities of Qatar Airways. In addition, you will administer and optimize treasury systems, processes and infrastructure to provide treasury compliance, transaction processing, data capture and reporting. You will also work across the treasury, finance, IT and wider business functions to achieve excellence in business partnering by contributing to the delivery of structures and solutions through the adoption of new technologies and working methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash position, by analysing cash balances, cash requirements, banking requirements, and foreign exchange spanets to determine and move adequate amounts of cash to and from bank account to support operations and to optimise utilisation of funds.
- Ensure smooth banking and financial operations in Doha and internationally and liaise with financial institutions directly for day-to-day banking transactions and/or queries.
- Analyse quotes from the money spanet, carry out assessments and make recommendations to management for optimal liquidity management.
- Ensure timely accounting and upkeep of Treasury data preparation and reporting.
- Analyse current and forecast cash requirements and report to management on short- and medium-term liquidity needs.
- Maintain loan schedules, calculation of interest and facilitate principal and interest payments
- Monitor and manage the efficient process, reporting and compliance activities related to the issuance, maintenance and cancellation of one or more of LC/BGs, Corporate Credit Cards, Emergency Debit Cards and Petty Cash requirements.
- Analyse and report on optimal spot execution vs. budget vs. spanet benchspans.
- Ensure timely submission of monthly bank/GL HO and Outstations reconciliation reports to management.
- Preparation of cash flow forecast reports based on co-ordinating assumptions across the organisation and analysing variances.
- Manage the collection, verification and uploading of Foreign Exchange Rates to the ERP.
- Assist in the preparation of the Annual Budget by preparing forecast outturn from respective areas.
- Ensure all transactions are recorded, confirmed and accounted for correctly on the day or within the relevant accounting period.
- Provide analysis to identify exposures and develop risk management strategies for QR financial risks.
- Maintain treasury risk registers and co-ordinate with treasury management and senior management to provide timely updates and assurances.
- Carry out all accounting for fleet and fleet related activities of the group, maintain accurate records of all financing arrangement for QR Group, including legal documentation, loan schedules.
- Provide analysis for management to recommend long term financing solutions in line with finance strategy and optimal capital structure.
- Maintain accurate records, held securely supporting any and all transactions and decisions.
- Produce KPI reporting and use the data to inform management of potential value-add process, control and systems improvements.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
